Shoshana Bean gave Justin Bieber’s hit single “Sorry” a vintage touch at Postmodern Jukebox. Bean was a guest vocalist who joined Jazz musicians for a 1960s Motown arrangement of Bieber’s song. As reported by Billboard, this cover is the lead track on the band’s newly released record, PMJ and Chill. The record was released on February 18, 2016.

PMJ leader Scott Bradlee shared on the group’s website:

“Although taking a Justin Bieber song back to the ’60s may seem like a stretch, the lyrics to ‘Sorry’ aren’t far from those of some classic Motown tunes, which made this arrangement come together quite organically”. “Motown Records was responsible for some of the most enduring grooves of the 20th century, and you might just recognize a few nods to them in this video.”

“Sorry” is the second single from Justin Bieber’s fourth studio album Purpose which was released on November 13, 2015, by Def Jam Recordings and School Boy Records.
