Five Reasons to Love Camila Cabello

June 2024 · 4 minute read

There are so many reasons to love Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello… Too many to count, really.

We could go on and on, but instead, here are just five of the reasons why you should love the gorgeous Mila.

1. She Sings Her Heart Out

Sadly, Camila’s X Factor audition wasn’t recorded… but you can hear Mila before she hit the X Factor stage. When she was only fourteen years old, she posted a video of herself singing Skyscraper. Even then, her voice was absolutely amazing. She’s able to hit some crazy high notes, as well as create these flawless riffs. If you want to know what we mean, look above for a video of her best vocal moments.

2. She’s Incredibly Kind to Fans

Some stars aren’t the nicest to fans, but Camila is definitely not one of them. If you’ve met her before, then you know this firsthand. Simply put, she is full of love for every human that comes near her. She has an adorable obsession with koala hugs, and plenty of lucky fans get to experience them. She also serenades people who are in the first couple of rows at Fifth Harmony’s shows, holding their hands and singing directly to them. On top of all that wonderful, she stops to take photos with fans when she can. If you want to watch Mila’s sweetness in action, see the video up above.

3. She’s Absolutely Adorable

You can know this just from her tweets. She has posted things like “i wish animals could talk. this is so disappointing”, “i wonder if slugs know that they’re slugs”, and “when i discover a good restaurant it’s all i eat for the next mon so when i find a new one i feel like my taste buds have a little party”… Those are just some from the last few weeks. There are plenty of moments she shows this offline too – just check out the video. Adorable, right?

4. She Has a Lot to Say

They always say teenagers know close to nothing about life, but have you met Camila Cabello (or really, any teenager for that matter)? Yeah, she’s technically an adult, but eighteen. Just a few weeks ago, she tweeted out a Twitlonger titled “12 things I learned while being 18”. Everything she says is so thoughtful and inspirational. If you haven’t given it a read, you definitely should – find it here.

5. She Spoke Up About Mental Illness

Approximately 1/5 Americans over the age of eighteen suffer from some type of mental disorder, and around 20% of American youth are affected by them. That’s a lot of people. While society’s view on mental illness has obviously shifted within these last few years, we still have some ways to go. That includes increasing awareness, and Camila Cabello aided in just that. On September 10th, aka World Suicide Prevention Day, Mila was very active on Twitter. Not only did she retweet a post with all the numbers of suicide hotlines around the world, she also tweeted some very nice and important things.

repeat after me: im worthy of love and happiness, im not my mistakes, im not my mental illness, i will stick around to see things get better

— camila (@Camila_Cabello) September 10, 2015

nothing is worse than someone thinking their life is not worth living.. you are not alone, please ask for help #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

— camila (@Camila_Cabello) September 10, 2015

and if you have a friend that is going through depression or has told you they're having suicidal thoughts, speak up and seek help for them

— camila (@Camila_Cabello) September 10, 2015

What she did was important, because a lot of people see her tweets. There’s a high possibility someone saw them, and used them to benefit themselves or the ones around them. Maybe they called that suicide hotline, maybe they spoke up about that friend that has seemed really down lately.

Whether or not Cam knows how powerful those tweets were, they’re very appreciated.
