2017 has been a fantastic year for rising country music star Denny Strickland. The year saw him release his new single ‘We Don’t Sleep’ which has been streamed over half a million times, and the official video has been viewed over 600,000 times. His debut album ‘California Dreamin’ was also released in August to a great response from fans and critics, and by September he had been listed as one of Rolling Stone Country’s ‘Ten Country Artists You Need To Know’.

Here we speak exclusively to Denny Strickland about 2017, and what he has in store for 2018;

How would you sum up 2017 in three words?

Been California Dreamin

What has been the biggest highlight of the past year?

Having a number one on CMT’s 12 pack countdown and being named top 10 new country artist you need to know by Rolling Stone magazine.

What are your plans for the festive season?

I plan to enjoy the holidays with family and friends.

How do you plan on ringing in the New Year?

I plan to ring the new year with a new single off the new album California Dreamin.

What can fans expect from you in 2018?

Fans can expect performances off the new album with more appearances.

Would you be open to signing to a record label next year?

Never crossed my mind but I’m always open minded.

Do you have any exciting collaborations coming up in 2018?

Not as of yet.

What is the main thing you hope to achieve in the coming year?

Chart toppers, more shows, and more charity events.
