Remembering Dr. Don Beach: A Mentor, Colleague, and Friend
It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Dr. Don Beach, a longtime faculty member and Regents Professor in the Texas A&M System. Dr. Beach was not only a teacher but also a mentor, colleague, and friend to many of us who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away unexpectedly on April 20th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
Dr. Beach was a renowned expert in the field of education. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and joined the faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1977. Over the years, he also taught at Tarleton State University and Texas Tech University, leaving a lasting impact on his students, colleagues, and the institutions where he worked.
