Demi Lovato was recently interviewed by Refinery29 and the soul-baring interview was accompanied by an incredible photoshoot. The final shots from the day are like none you will ever see. They are far from your typical celebrity photoshoot which includes a wind machine and was shot on some exotic beach. The images are true works of art, images which we reckon could easily be displayed in an art gallery.

For some of the images, Demi stands strong and fierce in black clothing with a bold red lip and sultry facial expressions to show us she means business, for others, she poses in white for a more gentle look. There were also some really arty shots, for instance, the close-up of her face, the image of her ‘Stay’ and rose tattoos, the one taken from the back to show off her slicked-back hair do and the one of her wiping away her make-up, which is one of our personal favourites as it’s an image which really speaks volumes.

Not only were these images taken by a remarkably talented photographer, they also capture Demi’s beauty perfectly. She looks utterly breathtaking from every angle in every shot, don’t you agree?
Demi’s interview for Refinery29 was also truly inspiring as she opened up about living a sober life and how she’s learned to feel confident within herself. She also spoke about her Feminist idols, who come in the form of Lena Dunham and Beyonce, who she claims to have “an immense amount of respect for.”
Many of us know Demi’s story, well, the parts of it which she so bravely chose to share with us, however, it is refreshing and simply awe-inspiring to see her talk about her life in such an assertive way now, for example, she answers questions like “Who do you want to be when you grow up?” with “Me.” and saying things such as “I’d rather live my life free and open than closed off, where people like me for something that I’m not.” This interview really opens your eyes and it is yet another piece of evidence for the fact that Demi Lovato is living proof that recovery is more than possible, you can get through the challenging times in life and find your voice again.
