Well-known for the portrayal of Jeannie in ‘I Dream of Jeannie’, Barbara Eden is an American actress, singer, and producer. She has also won several award nominations and also grabbed herself a prize for the role. With her debut performance landing in the year 1955, many people consider her as a veteran actress for actively contributing to the industry even today. She was born on 23 August 1931 with the birth name of Barbara Jean Morehead. She turns 90 years old this year but she still has a charming smile on her face despite her age.

Barbara recently fell victim to the deadly Coronavirus along with her husband Jon Eicholtz and her friend Mary Jane. According to an interview conducted by The Hollywood Reporter, she was actually enjoying the lockdown as she had a pleasant view from her window. She considered herself lucky when compared to her friends as they could even get to the elevators in their apartments. Furthermore, she talks about how cautious she was regarding the pandemic and wore a mask all the time but despite all of this, she ended up testing positive.

The interviewer did not know that she tested positive and the interview was about her book. They decided to carry on the interview and learn more about her COVID experience. She was eager to share her experiences. She stated that the virus must have made its way into her house through her husband. Jon visited their son in Las Vegas and spent a total of three nights there. Upon returning, he unknowingly brought the virus back home which resulted in the couple testing positive.

Barbara said that it was her husband who tested positive initially and then her girlfriend, Mary. Mary drove Jon to the doctor’s and the doctor immediately suggested an antibody infusion. Upon returning from the doctor’s, Barbara took every precaution possible by wearing masks, gloves, and using sanitizers. However, a few days later, her manager suggested that she should take a test too just in case. She agreed to this and when she took the test, her results came out positive.

Barbara Eden mentions that she also decided to undergo an antibody infusion like Joe and Mary. She said that it was not a severe case of Coronavirus as she just felt a little uncomfortable and had a mild headache. Other than this, she was doing absolutely fine. On the other hand, her husband was not as lucky as she and Mary.

Jon Eicholtz had a hard time dealing with the virus and he slept most of the time according to Barbara. Since he had to be isolated, Barbara and Mary would hold their breath and peek at him before running out of the room. As of now, Barbara Eden is healthy and enjoying her life with her husband who has also recovered from the deadly virus.
